This week’s topic is –
Top Ten Places I would love to visit from Books (real or fictional)
1. New Orleans- from almost every Anne Rice book.
2. Rivendell- to hang out at the last homely house with Elrond
3. Hogwarts from the HP series
4. Paris, 1920s- Fitzgerald
5. Pemberley- from Pride & Prejudice
6. Hobbiton from The Lord of the Rings
7. Tara Plantation from Gone With the Wind
8. Italy- really Naples, from Eat, Pray, Love
9. The South of France from Tender is the Night
Where do you wish you could visit?
Hi. Wow didn’t think about Rivendell. Had Pemberley in mind but not in final list. I have Hobbiton, Hogwarts & Italy. Check out my picks at
Your list looks pretty complete. Let me know when to pack. 🙂
Wouldn’t that be nice?
I would definitely agree that Hogwarts and Italy are a must for places to visit!
Oh, Hogwarts, for sure, and Pemberly. And in Middle Earth, the Shire, Rivendell, Lothlorien, and possibly Minis Tirith and Edoras as well – but only in peacetime. 😉
Great choices! I just put Middle Earth in general but Rivendell would be awesome! It’s portrayed so beautifully in the movies. 🙂
I’d love to visit the Elven cities in Middle Earth but I’d love to live in Hobbiton! Narnia has always been the top of my list of fictional places I’d like to go.
I want to visit Hogwarts, Tara, Italy and New Orleans, too.
New Orleans, for the exact same reason! I wouldn’t say no to any of these, actually…
Just so you know, I tagged you in The Ultimate Book tag on my blog. You can go to this link to check it out. 🙂
